PURPOSE: A health condition determination apparatus using a pulse wave and a method thereof are provided to enable a preventive health management by conveniently measuring the health condition of a user by using the personal information, physical constitution information, and pulse wave information of a user. CONSTITUTION: Pulse wave information(200) is generated by a separate pulse wave measuring device. Personal information(210) includes information about the identities of a user. Physical constitution information(220) includes one of a taeeum physiological type(221), a soeum physiological type(222), a soyang physiological type(223), and a taeyang physiological type. A health condition determining device(230) includes an input unit(231), a processing unit(232), and a determination unit(233). The input unit receives the pulse wave information, personal information, and physical constitution information of a user. The processing unit calls a health classification function corresponding to inputted physical constitution information. The determination unit determines the health condition of a user by using a health classification function called through a processing unit.
