PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiformat video reproduction device which can reproduce a distortion-free image even when format conversions are switched over.SOLUTION: In a video reproduction device 10, a control unit 111 sends control information to a deinterlace processing unit 181, a size change unit 182, and an interlace processing unit 184 when an input video signal is input. However, by taking a processing time in each processing unit into consideration, although the control information is input to the deinterlace processing unit 181 directly as is, it is delayed one frame by a first delay circuit 185 before being fed into the size change unit 182 and delayed further one frame by a second delay circuit 186 before being fed into the interlace processing unit 184. This enables control instruction timing in each processing unit to be synchronized with the input video signal, so that even when video signals differing in format are input, an output video signal is free of distortion. |
