PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas regulator that senses pressure of supplied gas and functions as intended.SOLUTION: A gas regulator 100 includes an actuator and a valve box, and the actuator includes a valve body 128 with a cylindrical shroud 182. The shroud 182 is adapted for directing the flow of a fluid extending from the valve body 128 toward an outlet of the valve and away from the actuator. This structure has the effect of minimizing the phenomenon known as "droop" where the outlet pressure is less than the set control pressure by reduction of the pressure dropping amounts received by the actuator during normal operation. The shroud 182 can be adjusted and/or detached to enable tuning of the regulator for a specific application. |
