PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch that allows simultaneous driving of a main contact mechanism and auxiliary contact mechanisms, and to provide a method for adjusting the positions of contacts thereof.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic switch has a main contact housing section, an auxiliary contact housing section, and an electromagnet unit, arranged in series with each other. The main contact housing section houses a main contact mechanism in a contact housing case. The main contact mechanism has: a pair of fixed contactors that are fixedly arranged at a predetermined interval; and a movable contactor that is disposed so as to be movable close to and away from the pair of fixed contactors. The auxiliary contact housing section houses two or more auxiliary contact mechanisms, each having: fixed contactors; and a movable contactor that is disposed so as to be movable close to and away from the fixed contactors. The electromagnet unit moves the movable contactor of the main contact mechanism and the movable contactors of the auxiliary contact mechanisms.
