Provided is a software distribution system comprising: a first software reception means that receives software from a first distribution device; a second software reception means that receives an inspection program from a second distribution device, said inspection program being a program for inspecting the software; and a software execution means that merges the software and the inspection program in an executable form and executes the result. The second software reception means attempts to obtain the inspection program corresponding to the software when the first software reception means has received the software, and makes repeated attempts at a predetermined interval when the inspection program cannot be obtained. The software execution means merges the software and the inspection program when the second software reception means has received the inspection program.
