The device has a detector (40) provided with a wavelength selector e.g. emission filter (30), in an emission light path. The path between a sample container (11) and the selector is guided by a reflector element (20), which surrounds a reflection chamber (R). A portion of light emitted from the container is directed to the selector in distortion manner. An excitation light path (AF) is guided into the chamber above the container. A monochromator e.g. dual monochromator, is provided in the excitation light path.
