A reinforcing material for a refrigerator and a method for forming the same are provided to maintain the strength while reducing the weight thereof by mixing a base material with a supplement material made of reinforced fibers to form the reinforcing material. Reinforcing materials for a refrigerator includes a reinforcing material. The reinforcing material sticks to a side wall, a front surface, a corner of the bottom, or a machine room in the refrigerator. The reinforcing material includes a base material(M) and a supplement material(S) including reinforcing fibers. The base material is combined to the supplement material to form the reinforcing material. The reinforcing material has a specific strength higher than that of iron or aluminum. The base material is preferably made of epoxy or polyester. The reinforcing fibers preferably include glass fibers. |
