PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly bond a solid lubricant (lubricating film) to a surface of a skirt when the lubricating film formed by coating the solid lubricant is formed on the surface of the skirt of a piston.SOLUTION: A piston 10 of an internal combustion engine includes: a boehmite film 19 formed on a surface of a skirt 12 of the piston 10 composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy; and a lubricating film 18 which is provided on a surface of the boehmite film 19, and formed by coating the solid lubricant on the surface of the boehmite film 19. |
