PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass raw material supply apparatus capable of sealing a casing by using a sealing material so that a glass raw material does not leak out from the casing of a screw feeder, and mounting/dismounting easily the sealing material, when the glass raw material is supplied into a dissolution tank by using the screw feeder to produce a glass plate; and to provide a method for producing the glass plate.SOLUTION: A bearing of a glass raw material supply apparatus for supplying a glass raw material used for a method for producing a glass plate into a dissolution tank is provided on a position separated from a casing of the glass raw material supply apparatus, and a clearance between a shaft and the casing formed when the shaft of the glass raw material supply apparatus is extended to the outside of the casing is occluded by a sealing material constituted of a fiber material provided on the end of the bearing side of the casing. |
