PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device including a magnetoelectric conversion element, a magnet and a magnetic shield, capable of improving a degree of freedom in a structure of the magnetoelectric conversion element or a substrate on which the magnetoelectric conversion element is placed, while suppressing noise due to the influence of a disturbance magnetic field.SOLUTION: In a rotation angle detection device, a magnetoelectric conversion element and a magnet are arranged separately and opposed to each other, and a magnetic shield is composed of a first magnetic shield and a second magnetic shield. In the arrangement direction of the magnetoelectric conversion element and the magnet, the first magnetic shield is arranged on the magnet side of an opposing face of the magnetoelectric conversion element and the magnet and also arranged so as to surround at least a part of the magnet. Further, in the arrangement direction, the second magnetic shield is arranged, while providing a predetermined inter-shield space with the first magnetic shield, on the opposite side to the first magnetic shield with respect to the magnetoelectric conversion element and arranged so as to rectify a disturbance magnetic field in a direction at which the magnetic field does not change due to rotation of the magnet. |
