PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording method and an optical disk apparatus, which enable accurate compensation without changing a basic waveform in downward compatibility for recording an optical disk for high linear speed at low speed in a variety of optical disks with different recording film material and recording mechanism, and to provide an optical disk which enables easy compensation.SOLUTION: The optical disk recording method makes a recording waveform a multi-pulse, independently changes each of a rising timing and falling timing (pulse width) of a first pulse depending on a preceding space length and a recording mark, and changes a rising timing and falling timing (pulse width) of a last pulse under a fixed relation or independently depending on a subsequent space length and a recording mark, while for a minimum mark for recording a single pulse, changing the rising timing depending on the preceding space length and a recording mark and the falling timing (pulse width) depending on the subsequent space length and a recording mark. |
