The present invention relates to a method for charging an electric vehicle. In one embodiment of the method for charging the electric vehicle according to the present invention, in the method for charging the electric vehicle having a high-speed battery charger and a low-speed battery charger that charge a first battery and a second battery, when the charging of the second battery starts after the charging of the first battery starts, the first battery performs quick charging and slow charging according to the remaining capacity (SOC) of the battery.
