PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control method of an engine that improves responsiveness of an engine start, and as a result can improve efficiency of the vehicle drive.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle transmission includes: a first differential gear device connected with an engine; a second differential gear device connected with an output element; a first motor generator connected with the first differential gear device; a second motor generator connected with the second differential gear device and a first-fifth transmission mechanisms that connect each element content. There are provided a hybrid vehicle transmission and its guidance control method wherein the speed of a first member of the first differential gear device is decreased to the first speed range during a prescribed periods before engine activation is started.
