PURPOSE: A method for outputting an error signal and a display device using the same are provided to prevent malfunction occurred in the steady state in advance, by removing the noise generated by switching operation. CONSTITUTION: A capacitor (C1) is connected to a power source, and performs charging and discharging operation selectively by the power source. A transistor (Q1) performs switching operation through a discharge voltage outputted by the discharging of the capacitor. A resistor (R1) and a diode (D1) are connected to the capacitor, and discharges a voltage charged in the capacitor. The transistor is connected to an error signal output line of a control unit (110), and forms a second path to output an error signal by the operation of the capacitor.
