PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take out paper discharged on a paper discharge tray by enlarging a paper discharge space without an effect of a wiring cable or a traction member in an image forming apparatus with an in-body paper discharge structure.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus of an in-body paper discharge type in which an in-body paper discharge space part having a U-shaped cross section is formed between an image reading housing part and an image forming housing part of an apparatus body. A bottom surface of an image reading housing part 11 facing a paper discharge tray is divided into a first surface 51 and a second surface 52 by a step part 53 formed along a sub-scanning direction X, the first surface 51 on the front side in a paper discharge direction Y of a paper discharge part 42 is disposed away from a discharge tray from the second surface 52 on the rear side in the paper discharge direction Y of the paper discharge part 42, and a traction member 23 for reciprocating a scanning body 22 in the sub-scanning direction X or a movable wiring cable (flat cable or the like) 24 or the like is disposed in the image reading housing part 11 on the upper side of the second surface 52. |
