PURPOSE: A system for selecting a channel and a method thereof, an access point (AP) thereof, and a recording medium for the same are provided to provide step-by-step channel selection algorithm according to priority which has to be guaranteed when there are various applications. CONSTITUTION: An AP (210) sets priority about a plurality of channel selection references which is preestablished according to each communication service, by considering each communication service provided to a plurality of terminals. The AP selects each operation channel per the plurality of terminals by applying the plurality of channel selection references step by step according to the established priority.
