A process for the preparation of double hydrated cobalt (II)-magnesium tertiary phosphates by the interaction of solutions of cobalt (II), magnesium and phosphorus salts, taken in fixed ratio, by the filtering out of sludge and drying. As initial reagents cobalt (II) and magnesium hydroxocarbonates, homogenized mechanical mixture with mole ratio of K=Co/Mg=10.0-0.67 are used. A solution of 50-70 % phosphate acid and hydroxylamine sulfate, taken in ratio to cobalt (II), composed of hydroxocarbonates 1:25, is given simultaneously at continued agitation, maintaining constant the pH value from range of 3.0-3.2 to thermostated at 40-60 °C, reaction vessel, containing water, acidified with phosphate acid to pH 3.0-3.2. The sludge is filtered out, washed (T:P=1:5), dried at 40 °C. |
