PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining apparatus capable of maintaining a balance between a reclining strength and a decrease in unlocking noise.SOLUTION: A pole 33 includes a first cut external tooth part C1 having at least a first cut external tooth 303 with a cut tooth surface on which a forward falling load acts when the forward falling load acts on a seat back in a direction toward which the seat back falls forward, a second cut external tooth part C2 having at least a second cut external tooth 305 with a cut tooth surface on which a rearward falling load acts when the rearward falling load acts on the seat back in a direction toward which the seat back falls rearward. A cutting degree of the first cut external tooth part 303 is different from a cutting degree of the second cut external tooth part 305. |
