PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for building having an adjustable height corresponding to the gap distance between a plate-like member and a frame body, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A gasket 1A for building includes a substrate 2 having two support walls 12a and 12b, a thin wall part 3A having a thin thickness which is disposed in the vicinity of each leading end of the support walls 12a and 12b, and a height adjustable part 4A having n (n: 1 or more integer) adjustable plates which allows a first adjustable plate 26 disposed adjacent to the thin wall part 3A to be joined to the support walls 12a and 12b through the thin wall part 3A. A manufacturing method of the gasket 1A for building includes steps of: extrusion molding a rubber composition into a die 51 provided with a first cavity 54 which allows the substrate 2, the thin wall part 3A, and the first adjustable plate 26 to be integrally molded and has a narrow cavity 55 in which the thin wall part 3A is molded; and vulcanizing the molding material. |
