PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam production system which can smoothly start and can constantly be operated at low costs.SOLUTION: A steam production system 100 includes: a heat pump 14 having a steam generator 4 for evaporating hot water by condensing a refrigerant; a gas-liquid separator 11 disposed on the downstream side on the water or steam side of the steam generator 4; steam piping 10 for connecting the steam generator 4 and the gas-liquid separator 11; and hot water piping 14 for connecting the gas-liquid separator 11 and the steam generator 4, and circulates hot water or steam by natural circulation. The hot water piping 14 includes bypass piping 25 for bypassing the hot water piping 14, a hot water circulation pump 24 disposed in the bypass piping 25, and a switching valve capable of switching a forcible water supply mode and a natural circulation mode. |
