<p>The present invention suppresses emissions deterioration when an imbalance has arisen in the air-fuel ratio between cylinders. The device (100), which controls an internal combustion engine provided with a first air-fuel ratio sensor disposed at the upstream side of a catalyst and a second air-fuel ratio sensor disposed at the downstream side of the catalyst, is equipped with: a first determination means that determines a first F/B control amount in accordance with the deviation between the target value and output value of the first air-fuel ratio sensor; a second determination means that determines a second F/B control amount in accordance with the deviation between the target value and output value of the second air-fuel ratio sensor; a control means that controls the amount of fuel injection on the basis of the first F/B control amount and the second F/B control amount; a detection means that detects imbalances in the air-fuel ratio between cylinders; and a correction means that, when an air-fuel ratio imbalance has arisen, corrects the second F/B control amount in the direction of greater difficulty for changes in the amount of fuel injection to arise towards the lean air-fuel ratio side in accordance with the output deviation between the first air-fuel ratio sensor and the second air-fuel ratio sensor.</p> |
