<p>An inkjet recording device, which has a head-cleaning device that wipes the ink discharge surface of the print head using a cleaning roller in which a rinsing solution has been absorbed, wherein ink removal by wiping is achieved while the amount of rinsing solution remaining on the ink discharge surface after wiping is limited and ink-discharging capability is favorably maintained. To control the head-cleaning work, a control device, which controls the rotation of a cleaning roller (31) and the movement of an inkjet head (11), executes: a first control of moving the head (11) to bring the ink discharge surface (11a) into contact with the outer circumferential surface (31c) of the roller (31) and during said contact, of keeping the relative velocity (Vo) of the ink discharge surface and the outer circumferential surface in contact therewith at or above a specified value; and after the first control, a second control of reducing the relative velocity of the ink discharge surface and the outer circumferential surface in contact therewith during the contact of the ink discharge surface with said outer circumferential surface to zero or a value lower than the specified value and separating the ink discharge surface from the outer circumferential surface.</p> |
