PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke detector capable of correctly determining a kind of smoke on the basis of diffuse light of smoke by two-wavelength light.SOLUTION: In a smoke detector, a long wavelength light emitting device emitting first light having a predetermined long wavelength and a long wavelength light receiving device receiving first diffuse light generated when the first light is exposed to smoke are arranged at a first diffuse angle, and a short wavelength light emitting device emitting second light having a predetermined short wavelength and a short wavelength light receiving device receiving second diffuse light generated when the second light is exposed to the smoke are arranged at a second diffuse angle. Then, the long wavelength light emitting device and the short wavelength light emitting device are caused to emit light simultaneously by the same light emission current, and on the basis of a long wavelength light receiving signal and a short wavelength light receiving signal obtained by the long wavelength light receiving device and the short wavelength light receiving signal, a kind of the smoke is determined. |
