PURPOSE: A sewing method, and a double chain stitch sewing machine are provided to putting the end part of needle thread inside of the double chain stitch. CONSTITUTION: A sewing machine transfers cloth along the upper side of a needle valve in a fixed sewing direction while keeping a noodle thread (NT), which forms needle thread loop under the needle valve by at least a needle (1). The progress of looper catches the needle thread loop, and the caught needle thread loop is looped by a looper thread (LT) kept by the looper, which forms stitch of the double chain stitch. When performing the initial sewing, the end part of needle thread which is protruded on the cloth surface is guided to move in a state of being pushed and fallen downward in the sewing direction, the end part of needle thread is processed inside of the double chain stitch. |
