The invention relates to a sensor circuit for measuring small-signal temperature variations at a frequency F, caused by the power dissipated by another circuit, known as the circuit being measured, at the same frequency F. The sensor circuit is formed by: a temperature transducer thermally coupled to the circuit being measured via the substrate of the semiconductor crystal, a bias circuit, and an amplifier filter that is AC-coupled in order to eliminate the effects of slow temperature variations. By way of an example, but without limiting the claims of the patent, the output voltage of the sensor circuit, including a spectral component at the amplified frequency F, can be used to determine electrical characteristics of the circuit being measured without it having to be electrically charged.
