PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high cycle characteristics in a negative electrode in which the thickness of a negative electrode active material layer per one side of a negative electrode collector is 50 μm or more and 100 μm or less.SOLUTION: A negative electrode having 100 or more and 500 or less of a degree of orientation A, which is represented by the ratio of the peak intensity of carbon 002 plane to the peak intensity of carbon 110 plane (the peak intensity of carbon 002 plane/the peak intensity of carbon 110 plane) measured by X-ray diffractometry, in a negative electrode active material layer up to 1/2 of the thickness thereof in the surface direction of the negative electrode active material layer from a negative electrode collector,is used. In the entire negative electrode active material layer, a degree of orientation B, represented by the ratio of the peak intensity of carbon 002 plane to the peak intensity of carbon 110 plane (the peak intensity of carbon 002 plane/the peak intensity of carbon 110 plane), measured by X-ray diffractometry is preferably 150 or more and 1000 or less, and the ratio of the degree of orientation B to the degree of orientation A (the degree of orientation B/the degree of orientation A) is preferably 1.5-2.0.
