<p>A method and a device for producing a crimp are described. A crimp blank (3) is thereby plastically deformed by a mould (5). Particularly when the mould (5) is withdrawn (13), both the force that the mould (5) exerts on the crimp blank (3) and the distance x by which the mould (5) is moved are measured. A change in the distance ?x between a position with maximum force Fmax and a position free from forces for the first time provides an indication of an elastic recovery, that is to say a springing back, of the crimp blank (3). This indication represents a measure of the quality of the crimp produced.</p> |
