PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a buffer by temporarily increasing a damping force in an extension step just after there is a great compression input, and speedily decreasing the damping force in the following extension step.SOLUTION: A buffer includes; one chamber A and the other chamber B in which a hydraulic fluid is stored; a piston 1 partitioning the one chamber A and the other chamber B; a flow passage L communicating the one chamber A and the other chamber B; and a damping force generating means V1 which gives resistance to the hydraulic fluid passing in the flow passage L. The buffer further includes a bypass path M which detours the damping force generating means V1 and communicates the one chamber A and the other chamber B, and the bypass path M includes a switching valve 2 which communicates or shuts off the bypass path M, and a check valve 3 which allows movement of the hydraulic fluid from the one chamber A to the other chamber B. When a compression step is shifted to an extension step, the switching valve 2 shuts off the bypass path M for a time depending on the magnitude of a stroke in the adjacent compression step. |
