PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus which can automatically set a display form of a video on a screen in accordance with resolution of the inputted video, allows handling for a user to be convenient and which can be adapted to practical use and to provide a video processing method.SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus includes input means and display control means. The input means inputs a plurality of first video signals corresponding to a video having first resolution and can input a second video signal corresponding to a video having second resolution larger than the first resolution instead of at least one of the plurality of first video signals. When only the first video signal is inputted to the input means, the display control means controls the inputted first video signal to be displayed in a region obtained by dividing a display screen corresponding to the second resolution. When the second video signal is inputted to the input means, the display control means controls the inputted second video signal to be displayed on the whole display screen. |
