The present invention provides a capsule which can be produced highly safely, and cannot be disintegrated in the stomach or the small intestine and can be disintegrated in the large intestine to release a content thereof when administered orally. The present invention relates to a capsule characterized by comprising: a content in which the main ingredient, such as a substance that can be used for a medicinal agent or a functional food and is likely to be deactivated by gastric acid or an enzyme, is dispersed or dissolved; and a coating film that comprises a coating film base material such as a naturally occurring water-soluble polymer and a chitosan powder dispersed in the coating film base material.
