The present invention provides a method for function layout of mobile search results. The method includes: providing functional extended links in items of search results; displaying a layer comprising at least one operational function button relative to the search results therein around the search results in response to a choice from the functional extended links by a user; performing the operational function corresponding to the operational function button in response to a choice from said operational function button by the user. Accordingly, the present invention also provides a system for the method. The method of this invention can meet the needs of obtaining more information and more functional service conveniently by the user under the restriction on the size of the screen of a mobile terminal.
