PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member having a protection film having high electrical conductivity and exhibiting a good sliding property under the presence of oil.SOLUTION: A sliding member 1 includes a base material 2, a metal base layer 31 provided on the base material, a high-resistance diamond-like carbon layer 32 layer provided on the metal base layer 31, and a columnar low-resistance diamond-like carbon portion 33 which passes through the high-resistance diamond-like carbon layer 32 in a film thickness direction and has one end brought into contact with the metal base layer 31 and the other end exposed to a surface 32a of the high-resistance diamond-like carbon layer 32. |
