PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder which is compact at low costs and is capable of correcting an AC component and a DC component of one rotation in one cycle signal when an operation environment changes.SOLUTION: An optical encoder comprises a light emitting part 1, a lens 2, a rotating disk 3 having a scale part, a light reception part 4, an operation part 5 for operating an angle of rotation of the rotating disc, and the like. The scale part has a sine wave signal track 3a for generating a sine wave signal in one cycle by one rotation of the rotating disk, a cosine wave signal track 3b for generating a cosine wave signal in one cycle by one rotation of the rotating disk, and a sine wave signal track 3c for generating a sine wave signal in m cycle (m is an integer 2 or larger) by one rotation of the rotating disk. The operation part 5 corrects an AC component and a DC component of one rotation in one cycle signal among detection signals by using detection signals from first, second, and third tracks to calculate a light source quantity of light changing rate M caused by a change of operation environment and a quantity of leakage light change V of a light shield part. |
