PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery operable in a medium temperature range, and an electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery.SOLUTION: The electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery comprises: a cation represented by the general formula (I), where four R groups represent an identical hydrocarbon group or two sets of neighboring two R groups are each bonded together to form a group represented by -(CH)- (n is an integer from 4 to 7); and an anion selected from the group consisting of FTA, TFSA, BETA, (trifluoromethylsulfonyl)(pentafluoroethylsulfonyl)amide, (trifluoromethylsulfonyl)(nonafluorobutylsulfonyl)amide, TSAC and tris(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)methide. |
