PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument capable of measuring an amount of bending of an end part of a rod-like material carried in a lengthwise direction, online in real time.SOLUTION: A displacement dx in an X direction of an end part of a rod-like material is obtained (S23) in accordance with expression (1) dx=X3-(X2+(X2-X1)) where X3 is a displacement in the X direction of the end part side of the rod-like material, X2 is a displacement in the X direction of the rod-like material in a measurement position of a center position detector out of 8 position detectors, and X1 is a displacement in the X direction of the side opposite to the end part of the rod-like material. A displacement dy in a Y direction of the end part of the rod-like material is obtained (S24) in accordance with expression (2) dy=Y3-(Y2+(Y2-Y1)) where Y3 is a displacement in the Y direction of the end part side of the rod-like material, Y2 is a displacement in the Y direction of the rod-like material in the measurement position of the center position detector out of 8 position detectors, and Y1 is a displacement in the Y direction of the side opposite to the end part of the rod-like material. A vector sum of these displacements dx and dy is obtained and is defined as an amount S1 of bending of the end part of the rod-like material (S25). This processing is continuously performed at intervals of a required sampling period to obtain an amount of bending of the end part of the rod-like material. |
