METAL PARTICULATE-DISPERSED COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal particulate-dispersed composite capable of using for various devices using localized surface plasmon resonance.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a metal particulate-dispersed composite, the method comprising the steps of: i) preparing a slurry containing ceramic fine particles having a primary particle diameter of 1 nm to 25 μm and a secondary particle diameter of 100 nm to 2 μm as a raw material of a solid skeleton part; ii) preparing a coating liquid by mixing a metal compound that becomes a raw material of metal fine particles based on 100 pts.wt. of the solid content of the slurry; iii) applying and drying the coating liquid on a substrate to form a coating film; and iv) subjecting the coating film to heat treatment to form a solid skeleton part having a three-dimensional network structure and a matrix layer having a gap formed by the solid skeleton part from the coating film and depositing particulate metals that become metal fine particles. The metal fine particles formed in step iv) have an average particle diameter of 3 nm to 100 nm and 60% or more of the metal fine particles have a particle diameter larger than the primary particle diameter and smaller than the secondary diameter based on the total number of particles of the metal fine particles.
