<p>A covering assembly comprises a cover portion comprising an elastic material having an inner surface and an outer surface. The cover portion is configured to be operable to stretch over at least a portion of a helmet. At least one cover fastener is joined to the inner surface. The cover fastener is configured to be operable to removably join the cover portion to the helmet. At least one extension fastener is joined to the outer surface.
