<p>PURPOSE: An image forming device capable of ordering an error skip command and a control method thereof are provided to inform a user of a fact which the user is capable of skipping an error in the same, thereby improving availability. CONSTITUTION: An image forming device includes a receiving unit (601), a setting-up unit, and an informing unit (605). The receiving unit receives a command of skipping an error in the same from a user. The setting-up unit sets up a certain error as a skippable error according to the command from the receiving unit. The informing unit informs the user of a fact which the certain error is skippable, and has a light emitting unit. The certain error includes an error related to paper. A toner light emitting diode (LED) (602) emits a light when toner does not exist or is deficient.
