The device has a sensor non return valve (100) that is arranged between pressurized air sources (300) and pressurized air load (400). The sensor non return valve is designed as a by-pass valve (200) and is anti-parallelly connected on flow-side such that the sensor non return valve is opened and a sensor signal flux is disrupted when connecting the pressurized air load with volumetric flow structure, and the sensor non return valve is closed at the end of the consumption of air cycle and the sensor signal flux is again produced. An independent claim is included for method for monitoring tightness of consumption of air-ended or pressurized air-prominent pneumatic element.
