PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive inspection device and a method of using a guide wave capable of improving detection accuracy in a thickness-reduced part, by identifying a thickness-reduced part signal generated in a pipe as a virtual image, in a nondestructive inspection of using the guide wave. SOLUTION: A guide wave flaw detection device 4 acquires receiving information based on its received signal, by transmitting the guide wave to a pipe body 1, and receiving the guide wave from the pipe body 1. A flaw detection waveform storage device 12 stores the receiving information. A flaw detection result imaging device 13 images a flaw detection result based on the receiving information. A flaw detection result diagnostic device 14 performs arithmetic processing for identifying a defect signal and a virtual image signal by taking a correlation between a plurality of guide wave inspection images to a different frequency, imaged by the flaw detection result imaging device 13.
