Prevention of penetration by moisture to the inside of a case in electrical equipment provided with a case that accommodates electronic components is required. This fan unit is provided with: a frame that has a through opening; a waterproof moisture permeable filter that covers the through opening; and a fan, which is affixed to the frame and carries out ventilation via the through opening and filter. The filter may also be affixed to the frame. The filter may be disposed between the frame and the fan, and may be sandwiched by the edge parts of the fan and the peripheral parts of the through opening in the frame.
