PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkyl ether compound having an unhazy appearance with high production efficiency.SOLUTION: This method for producing an alkyl ether compound (D) includes making an alcohol (A) represented by general formula (1) and an alkylating agent (B) react with each other in the presence of an organic alkali (C) composed of an amine (c1) or a quaternary ammonium salt (c2), wherein the organic alkali (C) is preferably a quaternary ammonium hydroxide. |
