PURPOSE: A semiconductor light emitting device is provided to smoothly supply current by forming a second electrode extended into the substrate toward the boundary. CONSTITUTION: Semiconductor layers (10) include a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and an active layer. Light is produced by the recombination of holes and electrons in the active layer. A first electrode (40) is electrically connected to the first semiconductor layer. A substrate (50) is combined with the semiconductor layers. Current flows to a second semiconductor layer through a first interface. |
