ADHESIVE COATED STENT AND INSERTION INSTRUMENT A deployment cartridge (60) is provided to insert a coated stent (10) into a junction formed between cotubular tissue sections (B,C). The deployment cartridge (60) includes a pusher (74) and a coated stent (10) contained within the pusher (74). The pusher (74) includes support structure for engagement with the stent (10). The stent (10) is coated with a tissue sealant or tissue adhesive. An insertion instrument (36) is also disclosed for advancing the deployment cartridge (60) into the junction formed between the two tubular tissue section (B,C). There is also disclosed a method of facilitating the support and healing at a juncture formed between tubular tissue sections (B,C) with a coated stent (10).
