PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment method in which an addition amount of an inorganic coagulant is reduced, and that obtains treated water with high clarity.SOLUTION: A waste water treatment method comprises: adding an organic coagulant to wastewater; and further adding a polymer flocculant, wherein the organic coagulant comprises a water-soluble polymer that includes: 50-100 mol% of a cationic monomer of the following formula (1) CH=CR-CO-X-Q-N+RRR-Z(1); 0-30 mol% of an anionic monomer of the following formula (2) RCH=CR-A-B(2); and 0-50 mole% of other monomers, and that has a value obtained by dividing a 0.5% solution viscosity measured at 25°C by a 0.5% salt viscosity of 1-100, and the 0.5% salt viscosity of 1-30 mPA s. |
