The receiver (3206) has a transformer (3236) for amplification of magnetic resonance (MR)-signals, and a pre-amplifier (3238) for receiving MR-signals of the transformer. The pre-amplifier comprises a source follower stage (J1) and a common source amplifier stage (J2), which comprises parallel coupled common source amplifiers. Another transformer is coupled between the source follower stage and the common source amplifier stage. The latter transformer amplifies the MR-signals. An inductor is coupled to a transistor within the source follower stage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a magnetic resonance system (2) a method for processing magnetic resonance-signals.
