<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool and method for stripping fin, capable of improving workability by easily and correctly stripping a fin on a coating of a snow-repellent type insulating electric wire, irrespective of the skills of a worker. <P>SOLUTION: This fin stripping tool 200 is used to strip the fin of the snow-repellent type insulating electric wire 110, having a core wire 112, a coating 114 for covering the core wire, and a rib-like fin 114a attached to be upright along the bus bar on the outer circumference of the coating. The fin stripping tool includes a first clamping member 210 and a second clamping member 230 for clamping an insulating electric wire; and at least either the first or the second clamping member has a sliding surface 212, 232 abutting against the outer circumference of the coating, grooves 214, 234 provided on the sliding surfaces respectively and capable of inserting the fin, and cutting blades 216, 236 arranged so that the edge of the blade are exposed inside the groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
