PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting a medical fluid and/or air (for example bubbles) within a syringe of a medical fluid injector system.SOLUTION: A medical fluid injector system 50 detects contents 262 and/or the volume of such contents inside a syringe 20b of the system. For example, an RF signal 260 from a first antenna 220 of a medical fluid injector can be transmitted through the syringe associated with the medical fluid injector. At least a part of the transmitted RF signal can be received by a second antenna 222 of the medical fluid injector. The amount of the RF signal received by the second antenna can be measured to provide information to read the contents and/or the volume of such contents within the syringe. |
