PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluororesin composition, powder, pellet, coated electric wire, and foamed electric wire, attaining the improvement of moldability in melt extrusion molding, especially a large reduction in molding failure on high speed molding in the extrusion coating molding of electric wires.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fluororesin composition includes a polymerization process for changing the 372°C melt flow rate of a copolymer produced in the polymerization from 0.05-5.0 g/10 min to 10-60 g/10 min when at least tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene are copolymerized in an identical system to obtain a copolymer.
