APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STANDARDIZING UNINSURED BENEFITS CODE

PURPOSE: A standardizing device of a non-pay code and a method thereof are provided to generate a standard code when 'the standard code corresponding to non-pay information inputted by a first medical institution' is not registered and transmits the standard code to the first medical institution while transmitting the generated standard code and the non-pay information to a second medical institution so that the standardizing device of the non-pay code and the method thereof standardize the non-pay information due to sharing of the standard code between the medical institutions. CONSTITUTION: A read unit (201) reads a user-defined name from a name field within non-pay information. A search unit (203) searches 'attribute data registered by corresponding to the user-defined name which is read' in database (211). A comparison unit (205) compares the searched attribute data and 'an attribute value recorded in an attribute field in the non-pay information'. When the attribute data is not searched or when the searched attribute data and the recorded attribute value are different, a code generation unit (207) generates a standard code. A processor (209) transmits the generated standard code to a first medical institution. The first medical institution mutually maps the user-defined name and the standard code.
